During our travel in Turkey we noticed a strange lake. We saw it from the elevation of the road, it looked very strange. It was shallow and very interesting pattern of underwater sediment was showing through. The pattern made the lake look like ocean around some Polynesian island. I think the material was some kind of clay or something like it. I am not a geologist. Tom and his mother went in and get a picture made, it came out great, as you can see. In case you are a geologist, the substance was a bit harder than sand when stepped on, but it gave way. It was like a very fine, gray, sand. Water in the lake was very shallow - it felt like we could walk right through the whole lake without having to swim.
